I’m on a life-long self-improvement journey. The first memory I have of self-awareness and intentional change was around age 8. To be honest, this all began because I was unlike others and I desperately wanted to be like them.

I was diagnosed at a very young age with severe dyslexia. My brain works completely differently than most. While challenging in school, this IS my super power, and I’m incredibly grateful for it.

My neurodivergent brain and I have always been deeply connected to the natural world. I grew up riding, training, and showing horses, and convinced my parents to let us have 3 dogs and a cat. I spent all my time outside in nature. I quite literally grew up in a barn.

My collegiate education was focused on life sciences, and I received a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science.

After graduation, I turned my focus to the natural care of horses. It blew my mind that wild horses just didn’t have the health issues that domesticated horses do, and the vet bills pile up quickly!

I ended up managing a herd of 20 horses on a natural management track system, which I had JUST studied. I’ll never forget this experience. Not only did I witness it with my own eyes that domesticated horses COULD be healthy and happy with the right management system that mimicked their natural behavior, but I was also taken into the herd as one of them. I literally don’t have words to describe how magical this truly was for me.

Ok, why am I sharing all of this with you? Because, eventually, after 25 years in the horse industry, I made the most difficult decision of my life and walked away from it.

With this void of caring naturally for animals, I took all of my knowledge and applied it to the human species. It became my goal to learn how to best care for the human body.

This is when I started racking up my certifications, and without the horses taking up all my time, I started practicing yoga. From there, it’s been a snowball effect. I took in anything and everything, tested it all on myself, took some of it, and left a lot of it.

I’ve guided many on their journey to health and happiness. It’s my absolute joy to watch others break down barriers, rewrite old stories, build self-confidence, and blossom into new versions of themselves.

All this to say, I’m immensely passionate about health, happiness, freedom, and growth. This might seem impossible or you may have had a hard time navigating this in your life, but I’m here to tell you that, while it requires intentional work, it’s SO fucking simple!

It would be my absolute pleasure to help guide you through the mysticism of it all.

What I write about.

If you’re still reading, thank you for sticking with me!

You can also probably guess that I will be writing a lot about how to live a sustainable, healthy and happy lifestyle.

I’ll be dabbling in all areas of health, nutrition, yoga, strength training, nervous system regulation and stress management, lifestyle habits, and so much more.

I’ll be sharing stories with you about my personal life, how these changes manifested for me, and the challenges I faced.

Sometimes I’ll keep it pretty high level and other times we’re going to get REAL deep.

I’ll probably say some things you don’t like, and that’s okay. This would be a beautiful opportunity for you to ask yourself, “Why? What part of me has an issue with that?” Curiosity leads to awareness and awareness leads to change.

Sometimes the truth is hard to swallow. Let yourself feel it. Only through feeling can we release it.

Plus, you don’t have to agree with everything I say. What I write will be based on MY opinions and beliefs that I’ve established over the years.

It’s cool. We can have different opinions and still be friends.

Why Radiant Rebel Yoga exists.

Truthfully, this idea was birthed from a rather selfish place.

I LOVE teaching yoga, writing, and helping others.

I opened a hot/cold therapy recovery studio in 2023 and took some time away from teaching and coaching to grow the business.

As if that wasn’t enough, when my ADHD got bored, I decided to get a full-time job back in my career field, which I haven’t mentioned is in the IT industry.

Yet, my soul yearns to teach again, but my schedule, time and energy say “No, not possible.”

I said, “Fuck it! I’m going to figure out how I CAN do it without compromising my energy.”

Even though I love teaching and helping others IN PERSON, I decided the virtual path was most practical right now.

Thus, Radiant Rebel Yoga was born!

While I’m starting as a simple little blog, I have big plans to bring all sorts of things into the mix as time unfolds.

I’m so fucking excited about it! It feels so right in my heart and soul.

If you want to ride through this evolution with me, sign up for my mailing list and I’ll keep you in the know through it all!

Namaste and SAT NAM!
